Kananaskis Country offers many kilometres of equestrian trails traversing through stunning mountain and foothills scenery. Several staging areas with equestrain facilities are available.

Activity/Adventure Description: Many kilometres of trails open to equestrian users radiate from each of the vehicle accessible equestrian campgrounds listed below: Bluerock - Located 46.0 km west of Turner Valley on Secondary Highway 546. Offers 17 camping units. Provides tie stalls. Dawson - Located 30.0 km east of Canmore on Highway 1, 6.0 km south on Highway 40, 11.0 km east on Highway 68, then 2.0 km south on Powderface Trail. Offers 17 camping units. Provides hitching rails. Etherington (Kananaskis Country) - Located 45.0 km (27.0 mi.) southwest of Longview on Secondary Highway 541, then 7.0 km south on Forestry Trunk Road. Offers 10 camping units. Provides hitching rails and tie stalls. Little Elbow (Kananaskis Country) - Located 50.0 km west of Bragg Creek, along Highway 66. Offers 46 camping units. Provides tie stalls. Mesa Butte (Kananaskis Country) - Located 27.0 km south of Bragg Creek on Secondary Highway 762, then 7.0 km west on Secondary Highway 549. Offers 15 camping units. Provides tie stalls. Sandy McNabb - Located 25.0 km west of Turner Valley on Secondary Highway 546. Offers 21 camping units. Provides tie stalls. Strawberry - Located 45.0 km west of Longview on Secondary Highway 541, then 2.0 km north on Forestry Trunk Road (Highway 40). Offers 18 camping units. Provides tie stalls.
