Aylmer is accessible by both road and river; staging area for Aylmer hiking/mountain biking/equestrian trails and access point to North Saskatchewan River, where canoes, kayaks and river boats can be launched; approximately 12 hours by canoe to Rocky Mountain House; hikers can either head west to Bighorn Dam or east to Saunders boat launch.
